How to set up card payments
Connect your Stripe account
Go to Settings → Payments. Tap "Connect Stripe" and either log in to your existing Stripe account or create a new one. Takes about 2 minutes.
Complete Stripe onboarding
Stripe will ask for your business details and bank account for payouts. This is a Stripe requirement to comply with financial regulations.
Clients can pay by card
From this point, every invoice and quote you send has a Pay Now button. Clients can pay by card without creating an account.
Money goes straight to your bank
Stripe pays out to your linked bank account on a rolling basis. Standard Stripe fees apply (1.5% + 20p for UK cards).

How it works
Earnhouse uses Stripe Connect. Money goes directly from your client to your Stripe account — Earnhouse never touches the funds.
Fees
Standard Stripe processing fees apply. Earnhouse does not add any additional fees on top of Stripe's standard rates.
Security
All card details are handled by Stripe — fully PCI-DSS compliant. Earnhouse never stores or sees card numbers.

Common questions
Do clients need a Stripe account to pay?
No. Clients just click Pay Now and enter their card details. No account or app download needed.
How quickly does money reach my bank?
Stripe's standard payout schedule is 2 business days for UK accounts. You can check and adjust this in your Stripe dashboard.
What cards are accepted?
Stripe accepts all major credit and debit cards including Visa, Mastercard and Amex. Apple Pay and Google Pay are also supported where available.
Can I use Earnhouse without Stripe?
Yes. Stripe is optional. You can create and send invoices, mark them paid manually, and use all other features without connecting Stripe.
What happens if a payment fails?
Stripe will notify the client of a failed payment. The invoice remains outstanding in Earnhouse until the payment succeeds or you mark it paid another way.
