Today we're launching card payments in the Earnhouse client portal — and it changes the whole dynamic of getting paid.
How it works
When you send an invoice through Earnhouse, your client receives a link to their personal portal. Previously, they could view the invoice and download a PDF. Now, they can pay directly — by card, in under 30 seconds, without creating an account or downloading anything.
They click the link, see the invoice, hit Pay, enter their card details, done. You get notified immediately and the job is marked as paid.
What this means for you
The friction of bank transfers is gone. No more "I'll sort it when I'm at my computer." No more clients mistyping your sort code. No more waiting for it to clear.
In early testing, invoices sent with the payment portal were paid an average of 4.8 days faster than invoices without it. For a business sending 15–20 invoices a month, that's a meaningful cashflow improvement.
Powered by Stripe
Payments are processed by Stripe, which means PCI DSS Level 1 security, support for all major cards, and funds in your account within 1–2 business days. You keep everything above Stripe's standard transaction fee.
Get started
If you're already on Earnhouse, connect Stripe in Settings → Payments. It takes about two minutes and there's nothing to configure — just connect and the payment button appears on all future invoices automatically.
If you're not on Earnhouse yet, the 14-day trial is still free and no card is needed to start.
